Today was a busy day in first grade! First, the day started off with our annual bus safety drills. Students reviewed procedures when riding on the bus and how to exit the bus in case of an emergency. Next, it was our first day of music with Mr. Lambert! He is a UOP student instructor who will be providing students with music instruction on Tuesdays & Thursdays for the next several weeks. Then, we had some special visitors in the afternoon during our PBL time. Betty, Chip, and Rosie are Silkie chickens who were brought in by a family from Miss Hamilton's class. Some fun facts that we learned about Silkies include: they cannot fly, have purplish skin, lay different colored eggs, and are covered in feathers from head to toe! Such a fun day of learning here at JMC!
